Reality Maker Limited trains women on leadership and group dynamics

Reality Maker Limited as part of the Ghana Trade and Investment Activity from 13th to 17th January,2024 held training programs with key actors, drawn from various groups in Bolgatanga.

The activity which is geared towards creating value added production for Maize and Soybeans value chains which is being implemented in partnership with and funding support from USAID Feed the Future – Ghana Trade and Investment Activity (GTI).

The project is being implemented in Bawku West, Nabdam, Kassena Nankana West Districts, and the Bolgatanga Municipality all of the Upper East Region of Ghana.

Serving as a facilitating team of Reality Maker Limited,Dr. Wilfred Akapanga and Timothy Pangbot Samoaka led sessions that explored leadership in local communities, groups dynamics among others.

This is to help farmers, traders and processor groups with the majority being women to understand the dynamics of group leadership and how to broadly conduct the activities of their groups successfully.

Previous editions of the training focused on processing Soya cake, milk, packaging, labeling and branding, manufacturing with the latest one focusing on traceability, leadership, group dynamics and market opportunities for maize and soya products.

Some beneficiaries outlined how the previous trainings as well as how the current one have impacted their lives.

one beneficiary remarked, “I really appreciate all that we learnt from Reality Maker. At first, they taught us how to make Soya Milk, cake and also how to package our products and now they are teaching us how as leaders we should handle our groups and how those who are followers can help the groups to grow.”

Another beneficiary explained that the training will help her revamp her group. “I am very happy about this training. This training has taught us what we need to do as leaders, how to handle our groups and I will go back and revamp our group.”

Previous trainings in communities such as Anateem, Sumbrungu Central equally focused on Good Manufacturing Practices and Production of High-quality maize and soy products for supermarkets, branding, packaging, labeling and digital marketing of maize and soy products.
